At one time I actually thought Blacks and whites were moving closer toward cooperation and working ?

toward the common good of all Americans. I realize, this is no longer true. What happened to change this? Please no rants or racist (white or black) comments. Looking only for thoughtful responses. I didn't want to put this in the politics section because of all the name calling and bashing that goes on there. Hopefully, this section will be better than that.
