Hey fellow athiests, got any links or input on the idea that religions destroy, rewrite and obscure history?

i mean its infinitely more likely that a bunch of elites back in the day and still today made up 'real history' and scientific evidence just to exercise their 'supernatural' powers over the gullible than that a god really exists somewhere. eg. moses going up the mountain, 'miracles' etc. Thanks! i'm going to a religious group meeting at my university for some fun.
