Should I get a lawyer or see what happens?
I started getting the first signs of carpal tunnel syndrome, and blood test confirmed an elevation in my rheumatoid factor (RF) test, so my doctor sends me to a Rheumatology. The doctor there sends me to work in splints with a note asking for minor job accommodations and that ergonomic essments are done of my work area. My employer them rides my *** about my speed (never had any problem with my speed before), and sends my doctor a packet of questions to fill out about my condition. I find out that my doctor sends back the packet without filling it out and writes on it, “I think her condition is job related and she needs to be essed by Workers Comp." He did this without saying anything to me. Now I have a meeting next Thurs. with my Union Rep., head of HR, Dept. Sup. to talk about me being evaluated by another independent doctor that my employer will pay for. Now what?
