Tampon//hymen question?

ok i had my epriod last month and i tried to use a tampon but it hurt like crazy once it was in ( i kno i did it wrong..but i can nvr get it in right) anyway is the the pain i would feel if i had ? i couldnt even bend down to pick up the wrapper on the floor..how to i break the hymen myself?
