Splinter problem 6 years ago.?

So yeah i had a splinter problem about 6 or 7 years ago. I was playing in the play ground and happenly to be kneeling when i had a pain in my knees. I called for the help of my neices and we wobbled back home. After that my mom and my cousin helped me get it out. Unforunately, it was 2 painful to take out so i told my mom to leave it in so it can come out on its own. while i was laying on my bed i saw little tiny woods popping out. so i grabbed a couple and pulled them out. I thought i took out most of the wood but left some in. Now 7 or 6 years later im 13 and have a tiny sqishy circle on my knee. So im worried is it infected becuz it never got infected or nothing happened for 6 years. Or do u think i can cut open the small squishy circle and take it out. Answers?

Scion TC, AC is acting up?

for about two weeks now my AC sometimes works and other times it doesnt. i've recently noticed that if i leave the air conditioner on before i turn off the car then the next time i go and turn my car on, it works just fine. but when i turn the AC off and then the turn off the car, when i go back and turn on my car nothing happens. i hear the clicking sound like the its turning on, but no air is being thrown out. i know i should probably take in to a mechanic, but i want to at least know what the mechanic is talking about before i take to them.

Will my rabbits be ok outside in the cold?

Its not good to keep them outside. I live in Ca. where winters don't ever really get all that cold, and a friend of mine left her family of bunnies outside, and they all froze to death despite the lack of severe cold. Bunnies are really sensitive. And whats worse is that you shouldn't keep bunnies outside in the summer. They overheat faster than they freeze. If you reallly really don't have anny room for them indoors, I would cover their hutch with a blanket and tarp to make sure that wind doesn't blow through there, and rain doesn't get in... uness its a waterproof hutch then a blanket should work just fine.. just make sure theres a little slit so air can get through. But really that isn't guaranteed to work if you live in a very cold place.

How dangerous is it to use cadmium paints?

I was wondering how safe it was to use cadmium paint. I've heard of some of the health risks that using a lot of it constantly would cause, but I don't plan on using it that often. I can't imagine it being more dangerous than the pastels that I use (and have no clue what toxins are in), but being naive and having done a report on the effects of cadmium (in general; not neccessarily in paints), I can't be too sure. Bottle feeding?

I am looking for articles that I can print to give to my daycare provider on why you should not prop a babies bottle up with a blanket or pillow. I walked in Friday to find my 2 month old in a bouncer with his bottle propped up and he was sucking air. I believe that a parent can have unconditional love for a child, but that's about as far as it goes. In some cases, there's no unconditional love between parents and children. All in all I don't think you were the least bit irresponsible. You happened to be a victim of cirstance (being the weather), and it's just unfortunate. You should try to explain to your parents about how you hadn't anticipated the fowl weather, and you reacted in a way that was quite responsible by making sure you were safe. You went to the support group because you needed to, and for them to think otherwise, especially when you lost a friend a little over a week before is downright insensitive and non-understanding. Realize that your parents are only angry because they were so worried (and rightfully so, if the weather was that bad and they received no information regarding your whereabouts or condition), but explain to them that you lacked the means to contact them (and that you had to go to the support group), and they need to be more trusting of your abilities. Relax and get some sleep (and even if your parents disagree, nobody here is really at fault), it'll cool down in time.

Has anyone tried sleep training?

Since my little girl has been getting older she has been harder to put down for naps.. So I was relying on the swing. But all of a sudden she is not wanting to nap in the swing. So as of right now I have to put her in her bouncer, jiggle her till she falls asleep and then lay her down in her playpen (she will not sleep in crib for some reason). The problem is I don't want to rely on the bouncer.. I have spoke to sleep trainers and they say the extinction method works best. She is 5 months old now and I think this might just get worse. At night she is waking 2 times to eat and sometimes she is up at 3am to play. It is very tiring. I am wondering if anyone has had any success at sleep training their little one??? If so which method did you use??

I know its hard to be fired and u think its unjust but in most states like said above they can fire u at will so basically, if they don't like the way u smell then they can fire u just as long as its not do to discrimination, i do personally think that the reason for firing u was justified because u were not at work on time and u clocked in and change the time and even though u were still late u went ( on company time) and checked ur car in for service. small things that we do may not seem big to us but to a company are very very important. i do hate to hear of a person losing there jobs and im sure there was a better way of handling that but they did what they thought was best. the bottom is u did in fact kinda cheap the system i would go as far as firing u for theft, and in most places u would be terminated. the worst mistake u can make is playing the victim u know what u did ( u don't deny that) and pulling the race card will just look like ur trying to justify what u did and just because ur of an ethnic race then ppl should turn the other cheek to your simple mistake. im sure there was more to the "white" person story then u are aware of. and as for ur friend again ppl should always admit fault when u are working i think its important to check over stuff that some one does Just to make sure ur is covered and it would fall on ur friend for the hood because the car was no long the other guys responsibility, as soon as ur friend got the keys he should have gave it a once over to ensure every thing was ok. and i was just wondering how fast was he Driving to make the hood of a car fly up and cause damage? because at my walmart u don't drive far at all and there's no way a hood could come up in the short distance that they take it to part it for the customer.. but who knows i do hope every thing works out for u if u don't get ur job back here im sure another company will be more then happy to have u as an employee.. one last thing if u can get proof of all the other times they let other ppl get away with what u got fired for then i would def use it have theft on ur record is hard to recover from... best of luck

How can i get my cat to drink more water?

He wont drink from a bowl so I purchased a water fountain for cats. He loved it for a week (hes trying to recover from a bladder infection due to not drinking enough water) I noticed the water level going down everyday and saw him drinking from it repeatedly. Suddenly he stopped and hasnt touched it in days, Im forced to syringe water into his mouth about 6 times a day to ensure he is hydrated and flushing out his infection. He wont even THINK about drinking any for himself. I tried putting down clam juice and chicken broth - no luck. I tried flavoring the fountain with said juices and ice cubes - no luck. I tried putting water/clam juice/chicken broth in with his food. NO LUCK. The boy WONT eat wet food. Now when i syringe him his water he fights me tooth and nail and sometimes refuses to swallow it, letting it dribble down his chin. Im forced to inject him in the back with fluids everyday to hydrate him. WHAT IS HIS PROBLEM.

Sinus and facial problems from TMJ?

A year ago I had 2 cat scans done on sinuses and head, 1 cat scan on neck and 1 xray on neck. sinuses were the only bad thing. On my right side of face i get symtpoms. Muscle spasms above ear, eye feels twitchy once in a while, tight feeling on right side of face. My right ear feels clogged sometimes, my jaw crackles at times and feels tight. I found a small lump under my ear lobe on my jaw line. Doctor told me a couple weeks ago it is nothing to worry about to leave it be. I have had my family doc tell me she has no clue and i will wake up one day and all the symptoms will go away. The feeling is fine when i first wake up in the morning but when i start my daily routine it gets worse or if i mage that bump. A pulled legament tmj or muslce/nerve damage from tmj? I wore a mouth guard (dentist orders) to help but it made it worse, it made me clench more. I rarely clench now, but i did a year ago from crying and grieving. Like the other postings say just hold down the power on till it turns off. With older Microsoft operating systems this is not a great thing to do but still no big deal. With Windows 7 not really an issue. The one thing that might happen is that when you restart the computer it will bring you to a screen that will give you options on how to start it. I suggest you go to your local library to see if they have both the Discovery version and the regular Worldbook set. I believe the Discovery set is aimed toward upper elementary age students. IMHO I believe the full set would be a better investment. You could try checking Good Will for a set that is newer than what you have now. A lot of people donate their old sets when they get a new one.

Are Busch Garden Restristions Like Cedar Point's?

How can I get my pet rat to not be so scared?

My fiance and I bought two juvenile female rats at the pet store. They were from the same cage, and their behavior was quite similar upon getting them home; quite jumpy and not wanting anything to do with being picked up or anything. Fast forward to two weeks later....One of the rats is doing very well. Seeming quite care-free and has no issues coming out of the cage to say hi. The other one is a different story. She stays huddled in the corner for the most part, moving only to eat or play with her roomate. She does seem fine when we're not around, but the minute I open that cage, she becomes petrified. I tried picking her up once and she bit me. I'm not quite sure what to do here. I'm giving her treats, speaking in a soft tone, trying not to make sudden movements, but it doesn't seem to ease her fear. Being paranoid. But don't worry- your nurse is more paranoid than you- they are trained to be. Remember- they do this all day every day and the danger for them is very real. They are EXTREMELY careful of how they handle contaminants. Remember too that her glove isn't touching your daughter- a sterile needle is. The nurse never touches the needle- only the cover. She never touches your baby where the hole was- she uses sterile gauze for that. Your baby's leg is sterilized before the needle in case she did touch it. She doesn't touch the slot opening where the needle goes in- just lifts the flap and pops it in! She throws away her gloves AND washes her hands after every patient. There is almost no danger of contamination- there literally has never been a case of this happening! Watch her closely next time.

My mom seems to think that i am just a younger version of her. She is always shocked to find out that i have a different opinion about things than she does. She even went so far to say she didn't allow me to shave my legs when i was younger bc she did not have hair on her legs. Arthritis pains; back pains?

I'm 13, and my mom noticed swelling in a few bones in my back. Before i thought it was arthritis, I was thinking of consulting a doctor. We don't have enough income to go, though. But the pain in my back is excruciating, enough to drop me to my knees and scream. I'm staying away from taking too much of an over-dose of aspirin, which makes me sick and wears off fast. In Feb v tried only once around ovulation day, in march my periods were a bit diff. the 1st day i found litttle lumpy thing and then nothing, then after a day i got something like my normal periods but not that normal..something pinkish,brownish....... I went to a gyn she did a UPT and was Neg. did a pelvic scan on CD8, stated some immature follicles present billaterally. some polycystic features but not much. Did ovulation scan CD13, stated no follicular growth evident. have been trying every alternate day from CD9 to CD14. do i have chances to conceive....... sorry for such a detailed question.....very confused..as to wat the ovulation scan meant.......i am really waiting for my cute little gift to soon arrive......hoping a positive this time........

Ghosts, spirits, demons, even spirit guides... whenever I hear about them I start getting paranoid, especially if it's at night. For some reason I start looking towards my bathroom on my left, and it's all dark and stuff, so I get up and close the door. I get spooked out very easily, and I hate it. I guess it comes from a somewhat "trauma" when I was 10 when I looked at a scary website on a public library computer with some boys my age.
